Tunisian President meets with his Egyptian Counterpart in Paris

On the sidelines of his participation in the "Paris Summit for a New Global Financing Pact", to be held in Paris on June 22-23, the Tunisia President, Kais Saied had a meeting today, Thursday, with the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi, according to a statement published by the official page of the Tunisian presidency.

The meeting addressed the strong fraternal relations and close cooperation between Tunisia and Egypt. Both leaders affirmed their shared commitment to further enhance these relations in various fields, particularly in the economic and developmental sectors, for the benefit of both brotherly nations.

The meeting also touched upon a number of regional issues of mutual interest. The agenda of the Paris summit was reviewed, during which the President emphasized the need to adopt non-traditional approaches in building new international economic and financial relations that consider current challenges and emerging global issues, especially in developing countries. These approaches should fulfill the aspirations of their people to live with dignity while fully respecting national sovereignty.
