The Ukrainian embassy in Tunis said in a statement published on its official Facebook page today, Thursday, March 17, 2022, that the Ambassador Volodymyr Khomants met with the General Director of Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad Nasser Essid, where the two parties praised the fruitful cooperation between the two countries in the field of evacuating Tunisians stranded in Ukraine in after the outbreak of war there with Russia.

The two parties also agreed on the necessity of facilitating visa procedures for citizens of both countries, especially for Ukrainians who have affinity relations with Tunisian families.

This is in addition to the possibility of sending humanitarian aid from Tunisia to Ukraine.
